Fished regular spots around Hickory mound. Water was stain not much luck. Ran out to find some clear water but never did find anything clear. Fished some floating grass mats but no love. Pretty day so we ran towards Aucilla. Water still stained but we located some trout. Ended the day with a limit of trout by 3:30. All under cork with gulp.

Also hung about a 60 lb tarpon on a popping cork. Fought him for about 15-20 min. Got spooled about 6 times. Had him close to the boat once when he got a big gulp of air and off he went again. This time he broke me off. It was like being hooked on the bumper of a sports car.

Buddy of mine was there yesterday and they got a three man limit of trout and reds around HM. They too hooked into tarpon. Three of them actually. Been several hookups lately that I heard from, myself being one.

We've hooked about three big tarpon too over last couple months popping cork fishing.
