Public Land Buck

Today, I accomplished a decades long personal goal…harvest a buck on public land! I was sitting on my tree stand situated next to a creek bottom that borders a secluded acorn flat. I was not optimistic because my trail cam videos showed that the bucks are nocturnal. But, I had a few hours to waste, so I sat. I was rewarded for my persistence when a beautiful, typical 6 point buck walked to my stand at 5:30 pm. I can hardly believe my good luck. I wish everyone who reads this good luck, good fortune, and a happy holidays!
My next goal is to harvest a public land buck with bow and arrow.
