...at the dam. Anybody know the best / safest / least likely to get your truck broke into place to put in there?
Sawbones, the safest thing to do is put in at either Sneads Park, or The Chattahoochie Park and lock through to the river. I don't know what time the lock opens in the morning, but I do know you have to lock back through by 1600, or you wait till the next day. Last time I checked, the lock operates on demand. Pull up to the lock and pull the rope. The lock attendant will come out and give you instructions.

Bones, the lock is quite an experience. It's quite large when you get inside. It's interesting to ride the water down, and up. I went throught the first time when my kids were young. Took the wife, also. They all loved it. If you decide to try it, tale two lines to tie off with.
The 90 ramp should be OK this time of year. Depends on how much water is in the river. I've never launched there, but I'm told it's quite steep. Years ago, a friend had launched there. When he was loading his boat, he didn't fasten the wench strap to pull out. As soon as he started up the ramp, the boat slid backward off the trailer, and went under.
What are ya fishin for over there?

Bones,
One of my friends went over to Seminole Friday and Saturday of last week to fish for crappie. Asked how he did, he replied, " Friday I almost could not close the ice chest lid, and Saturday I could not close the ice chest lid." He used minnows and fished in deep water (near the bottom)near where the lake starts to broaden on the Hooch.
