Lowrance to Garmin conversion

Post by FTReelty »

About a year ago I bought a new Garmin for my boat and got it installed. I previously had a Lowrance Hook 7 and was not the biggest fan, but it worked. Have not been since because I can not get my waypoints, routes, and trails from the Lowrance to the Garmin. I have downloaded all onto an SD card but can not get the file type converted to a format that will work for the Garmin (GPX). Apparently it is easy, but I have not found anyone that can do it and my son nor I can figure it out. I would be happy to pay someone $$$ to come to my house and get it done. Please call me at 229-224-four 11 five if you know someone or be willing to help. May be easier to sell the Garmin and just buy another Lowrance and update it?

Try calling Garmin for assistance. Garmin's help desk is fantastic and free. I've called many times.

Might look into this https://www.gpsbabel.org/ a friend of mine used it to convert Garmin to Raymarine with good results several years ago. I’ve never used it so…

I've used https://www.gpsvisualizer.com/. Works great, takes only a few minutes, and I used it for the exact conversion you are needing dozens of times. Don't need to pay someone, and feel free to send a PM if you get stuck or need help.
