Towing with Ford Bronco Sport

Has anyone towed and launched a good-size boat with a Ford Bronco Sport? It's the little guy on a Ford Escape platform. I'm looking at buying a used one, and I'm wondering about the 2,000-pound tow rating. I might be a bit over that with my Palm Beach 18-foot, motor and trailer. The Bronco version has all-wheel drive, but only 181 horsepower.

You might be over weight by 1,000 or more pounds by the time you add fuel, gear, fishing stuff...etc.
I think you might want to upsize your choice of tow vehicle.

Thanks — that also was my concern. I think I will just add a trailer hitch to my GMC Canyon. I feel sure it can handle the load.
