Trolling for trout
My father is having good luck trolling for Crappie, And I was wondering if the same would work for trout, any of you have any tips for us? Our boat is a 15' jon-boat and it has an electric trolling motor on front and a 15hp tiller motor (4-stroke).

I have seen folks load the boat in the Aucilla doing it. I have done it with pretty good success in the winter when I'm trying to locate fish. I normally use a TT mirrolure and just troll using the trolling motor down or up the river. I tend to vary the depth by the angle at which I hold the rod. If I get a bump whether from a fish or rock I drop back to make the lure stop and then jerk it forward again. If I get a fish I'll troll over the same area again. If I get bit again, I'll anchor and fish.
