I met two friends early Friday to bundle up & hunt trout. Weather turned out to be pretty nice. We had an old Carolina Skiff 19 with a Honda 50. It’s a fishing boat. We were pretty sure the recent cold front with North winds and real low tides would add up to trout in the creeks –but where?
Recent reports were not encouraging. They should have been up the Aucilla by now. Our last trip a week and a half ago at St Marks wasn’t too special. We opted for Spring Creek.
Good choice. We had three limits by 10:30, and that was with throwing back any less than 18â€

ALMAR, I haven't been there in many years but my Dad and I used to put in a Spring Creek Fish Camp with a 16' runabout. I don't remember it being a problem - 'course I was only 5 or 6....
Wow... there's some hogs in that group. Your party deserves some applause.
Don't want to raise a bunch of Heifer dust, but just for my own edification, isn't it part of the regulations that only one of the 5 fish limit can be over 20 inches?
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
