I got to the marina early and was amazed to see the majority of the boats in the slips sitting on the ground! NOT a good beginning. After looking I determined that IF any boat could be gotten out it would be Scott’s because his still had a couple of inches of water behind the motors instead of mud but it was doubtful.
They arrived soon and with a lot of pulling, tugging, rocking the guys finally got the boat to float – the day was looking better.
Patty had on a bathing suit under a pair of shorts, tee shirt and flip flops. After all the weather report was for clearing skies and highs in mid 70tys!
Got out to the bird rack before hitting the heavy fog bank! At this point Patty puts on sweat pants and a sweat shirt and a pair of boat shoes.

Not finding anything but ruby lips and rock bass we get to the K-tower area at 3 pm. Scott says we have an hour to fish before heading back. Have I mentioned the FOG yet. If anything it’s worse now – never have seen the sun.
Immediately the lines go down and just as quick the grouper come up! After seeing grouper coming aboard Patty takes up her custom made Billy Stix and soon after caught the biggest keeper red of the day. After that nice catch she decided to watch.
