Was out at K-tower this past saturday. The boat next to us was using black sea bass as bait. My question is: Is sea bass considered a game fish and if so, are you allowed to use them as bait. One of the guys on our boat said your not allowed to do that.
But a lot of folks use them as bait also
TC, the 2005 regs only give a bag limit for the Atlantic

I thought those AJ's left in the winter for warmer water. So, I guess I was wrong? Or is it less common to catch them this time of year?
You could always say you were just temporarily detaining them Rock bass 'till you could find a measuring stick, and everynow and then one caught your eye to be to small and so you would release those. Darn'dest thing, them kept getting snagged on the hook somehow
