Spring Warrior 1/26/05

Post by Fisherman989 »

Had two fishing buddies that are graduates of the school of trout fishing that were at Spring Warrior today. Fished right where we fished last year this time....near Little Spring Creek...Yates Cr.....Adams Beach. Used jigs, Catch 2000, Top Water M/L, jerk baits. Nothing worked.
They had one bite between the two of them.
Water was dingy...couldn't see bottom in 2 feet. Didn't get the temp.
Last trip till March.

Good try F989.....I have heard some of trout reports from Econfina to Yates, but the reports are far and few between....

Anyone tried in 10 foot or deeper?

MJ......Spring Warrior is about 18 miles from Perry, Fl.....between Keaton Beach and Fenholloway. It was red hot this time last year. Not this year..

Thanks 989 - Found it on my mapsource based on your directions. I've heard in mentioned a few times on the board and just never really knew it's location. Looks like an outstanding area that receives very little fishing pressure. I'll bet when the water warms up a bit, fishing will be excellent around Spring Warrior...

Billy.....just go into Perry....turn right on Puckett Road...near Hardees on 19 South....and go to the end of the road. It's about 16-18 miles. The road ends at the ramp.....which isn't much of a ramp....but a boat like yours will launch easily. :P

Spring? I saw Redbud blooming. Flocks of Cedar Waxwings and Purple Martins too.
