A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
This may not be a fish tale after all. There has been some interest expressed in putting together a trip to the Venice / Port Sulphur area of Louisiana. The proposed dates are May 20 - 23. If we want to go in April speek quickly and decisively, so that I can check and see if the camp we normally stay in is rented. The price of rooms are from $25 - $35 per night per person and the license is about $60. You can do the whole trip for less than $250 if you do not tear up anything
We need a list of people serious about going AND we need to confirm the dates. So lets hear it

I will call John at the Redfish Inn and just ask if he already has some cabins booked. I can tell him to tenatively reserve us a few of them. The life style is a lot more easy going down there. When you arrive at the Redfish the door is unlocked and a key is on the table. When you leave you just put the key back on the table a leave a check. No credit cards.
Well, I think that this just might work. My fishing partner said that he could possibly make it. I believe that I am almost 100%. I will check with my partner on the dates to see if he can go, if not, I might need a deck hand.
I'm a definite maybe. If'n I can get away from the house (new baby will be here in March).
I know this doesn't help, but it's too early for me to commit.
Want to stick my nose in; but, unfortunately (or I guess fortunately) I'm in Rocket's situation with the whole baby thing. My wife is due the end of this month. If everything is going smoothly, I could be persuaded...
This is sounding like it will come together. I spoke to John Mcguffie at the the RedFish Inn and he definately has us room for 8 and can do more if we call pretty quick. So the lodging is a done deal.
They have full kitchens and a fish cleaning station there at the fish camp --------> I taste fresh fried red fish
