Spring Creek 02-04-05

Post by Sawbones »

Put in about noon, NE wind 15kts, water temp 58. Fished high and low looking for a red, not today. Had live shrimp and worked it real slow off the bottom without a bite for two hours. Finally stuck one on a cajun thunder and threw it out in an eight foot hole while I continued to bounce the bottom with the other rod. The cork disappeared as the 19 inch trout made off with it. For the next hour boated 10 trout, all keepers, all released on the cajun thunder with a 3 foot fluoro carbon leader. Thank goodness february only has 28 days.
