Fished the New River for the first time today "trying some new area", caught around 15 with all but one being keeper size biggest being around 4 pounds. Sure wish I'd had the camera cause ya'll aint gonna believe this one I caught the 4#er and a 1 1/2 #er on the same lure at the same time the small one hit first and when he hit the current I thought I had lost him and relaxed the retrieve, then the biggun hit and I thought I had a monster on grab the net when he gets close, then see TWO fish on the lure Does two at a time count as one fish Started to go to the Red fish area, but the wind had picked up and I just didn't feel like fighting it Water is staying around 50.
Wevans,
Sounds like good times. Thanks for the offer yesterday about going with you. Would have taken you up on the offer; but, didn't see the post until about 11 last night. Also had some family in town. Went down to check on my boat about 9:30 this morning and the wind was really whipping. Decided it wasn't worth getting beat up over, so I just cleaned the boat up a bit and came home. If that offer still stands, I would really like to take you up on it sometime. Need to fish with a couple of our resident experts. Especially those that have mastered the "two for one" cast.
I aint no master by a long shot Eerman, I just got the hot streak at the moment "and a little help from an 80YO gentleman" they aint nothin that can beat experiance
