A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I agree with Tom, looks a lot like a Donzi minus the strake thingies on the bottom. Don't care for the sport bow, but it looks like the console is mounted far enough forward to give enough room in back to fish. Don't really care for hulls with pockets for the trim tabs either. Why, I don't know. I guess I just don't like the way they look.
Fountain bow is different...The hull looks alot like older Contenders (Pre SeeVee)....If you can dig up an old picture of a Formula CC it resembles it as well, which is the precursor to Contender....Somewhat favors the Whitewater as well....add in the euro transom...
I don't think I like the reverse sheer bow....breaking a wave in some slop would pile drive the bow....
Have you seen a bad Key West? I'm sure it's a good machine....Only two have been made...
I was about to post the same thing. Living down the street from a Wellcraft dealership, I had to do a double-take when I saw the Key West name on the boat. It looks just like the Wellcraft 29 Coastal to me, but in a CC.
I haven't heard the greatest thing about how the larger Wellcraft ride, so I would wonder why KW used their hull (if that is the case), since all the other KW boats ride so well.
