How well does it perform in shallow water (on the flats)?

Whats the difference between the single and dual frequency transducers?

The 250 preforms well. If you're gonna be on the flats get the single frequency (200KHZ) transducer. It should have an 18 to 20 degree cone. The dual frequency machine has an 8 degree cone at 200khz and a 45 degree cone at 75khz. Both are intended for deep water-300' deep or more.
What was I supposed to do today?

Will it give me a decent reading in two feet of water, or will I be in a 699 foot hole all of a sudden?
