Any kayak fishermen out there?

Post by KayakAngler »

Hey guys,

Just found this website and registered...

I just bought a new Prowler 13 kayak and love freshwater fishing. I want to do some saltwater fishing this year too.

Thanks

Welcome aboard. I do mostly saltwater fishing fron the yak, things will really pick up soon as the spring approaches. I will be more than happy to have someone along with me. There are several folks that post regularly on the kayak fishing side of this forum, so communication won't be a problem.

Hey KA,
Welcome to the site! There are several of us around who are looking to hook up for the coming season. Glad to have another member join the club. Where are you located?

Welcome to the forum, KA. There is a lot to be learned on BBFN.
Needless to say the folks here are of the finest variety and share their knowledge without hesitation.

New Kayak Fisherman

Post by rgharris83 »

I just got my fist kayak and I've been out a few times. I'm hoping to meet some fellow yak fisherman myself. Looking forward to a little warmer weather. I was out at Wakulla Beach this past Sunday just to try and learn the area a little. Dropped a line or two but never hooked up. Saw a few reds.

Count me in on several trips this year.

I love freshwater and saltwater trips.

Can't wait for April, hopefully better weather.

Good fishing :D

There was a nice message here encouraging kayak people to fish inshore in the winter because blah blah blah.
Then I deleted it.

I yak some (usually alone) when I have the time off the Taylor County coast. Mostly the areas around Keaton Beach and Dekle Beach. Great for sneeking up on those reds and trout that hide at the grass line.

Hey Littoral, what do you teach? I could be one of your students!! But probably not.

Hey Mechanical_fisherman
I know how it is fishing alone and sneaking up on the grassy areas to catch the big one
