Econfina ??

Post by Sawbones »

Might try it tomorrow. Never been there. Directions from Tally, where to get bait, launch? Can you put in with a -0.5 tide? Thanks.

Looking at tides there tomorrow I'd say probably launch about
10:15-10:45 and ease out the river. Anytime later in day
easily come and go in river.

98 towards Perry, cross Aucilla River and JR's store on right
for bait and gas. Hwy. 59 right to Econfina. There's also
a store which has gas and sometimes shrimp at Econfina.

Enjoy!

I've only been there twice, but if the wind stays out of the North with the tides predicted, there will be no water at the mouth :o

The last negative tide I went out on cost me 2 franklins, but it produced this almost 3 years ago....When you get to the last bend, it's either idle on out or let it roll till you get about 50 yards past the tripod...

More fun to LET IT ROLL! :-D

I try not to stop or slow down for about 500 yards! IMHO
