Me a pal and his 11 year old son went over to the Wakulla beach area to do a little fishing this afternoon. Things were a little slow today, but I managed to hook into a nice Red right at the start. Unfortunately the hook didn't stay put long enough for me to bring him to the boat

. No big deal, 'cause shortly after I stuck it to another one. Then he gave it right back to me just like his cousin had

. I started changing rigs, when I noticed some fish moving ahead of us, so instead of bending down and picking up the pole that was laying right at my feet, I told my partner to throw to them, and instant hookup, he boated a nice 23in Red. Oh well, that's what I get for being lazy. After that neither one of us could get a bite, but his son started his on Red fish clinic on the back of my boat and we apparently were'nt invited. It was a long ride home hearing all about how to catch Reds, and why we were'nt able to catch fish.
Actually it was quite enjoyable watching him catch some fish and having a great time at it. I would gladly trade myself catching some fish in exchange for watching a kid having a blast. So all in all, it was a great day on the water, but a little chilly at times, and the fish cooperated for some of us, myself excluded.
Total for the day 3 reds 17,22,23
Yeah I know that three fish is hardly a Redfish Clinic, but if you coulda heard him tell the story you would think other wise
