Catchin' at St. Marks 3-19

Post by Jumptrout51 »

Brother Butch and friend Steve(Basshole) Brawner brought back 8 nice trout from 16-20" from down near Greymare on Saturday.
Chuck Collins and I fished further east near Redfish point to boat 1 nice 15 1/2" trout and 4 shorts. What a differrence 2 miles can make.
Water temp 55-60 most places.
I lose the 68 degree bet.

Well you did a lot better than we did. Put in Saturday morning at the lighthouse around 9. Worked the rock garden, then moved up towards the creek mouths, then along the flats just east of the lighthouse, then up into the mouth of the East River.

Nothing.

Beautiful day.

Don't know what the hell we were doing wrong.

Steve, You should have stayed where you saw us. We had 10 Trout, two over 20, and two nice Reds. Didn't keep a Trout under 17 1/2....Chuck must be a little rusty...........He needs to get out more.....
If we were all crazy, Wouldn't that make us all normal.

Ty you guys were in a topnotch place. I've caught lots of good fish there over the years. It just wasn't meant to be for us on Saturday.

I'm famous! I have a disease named after me.

Good job, Butch.
