Went out in the afternoon ( got to see my 1st Florida Hummingbird on the way out  much larger than the Cuban Hummingbirds I have seen in the past.)

Anyway we motor though the bay and try to fish where my buddy caught a load of Silver Trout. ( he went fishing on Sunday and slayed the Silver Trout) We try to catch and get nothing. :smt012 Motor throttle jams the wind starts blowinfg us out and all I can think about is bleached bones they will find out in the gulf. :smt064 Get the motor started and we head over to a spot by the oyster beds.

I break out that funky electric chicken and land 2 short trout. My buddy had a nice trout on but lost it. He also landed a catfish WOO-HOO! I had a red on but lost that too. The water was really stained and the rain probably contributed to us not catching much.

I never really used the Electric Chicken till I read about it on BBF but it does work.

It was really beautiful out there. ;-)

On another note Saturday I am going to St. George east end. :smt117 Has anybody been catching the mackeral out there? :smt017 My buddy said last weekend a guy caught like 100 of em. :o That is the only report that I have heard saying they are here. :smt017

It was alittle rough at first but then smoothed out nicely.

My buddy didnt see them but one of his customers that fishes the east end was telling him that he caught the 100.

I can believe it. I was there for the run last year. I caught so many I lost count. :smt082

Hopefully that will be repeated on Saturday. :smt117
