And with that low a profile, ya don't want anything that can hold all the water that's coming over the front, sides, and rear of the boat

I'd have to seriously adjust my fishing style or my shoes and flipflops,
bait bucket, cajun anchor, net, rainsuit, food sack, extra clothes sack,
life vests, and various other assorted goodies would just wash away.

I draft about 8" and can still get "in" my ole boat.

And with my jackplate I can rather easily get into places I really
shouldn't be!
Rocks and oyster bars do not discriminate!

It pretty much is like that. I have ridden on two of them in Texas. They are like a huge surfboard with a center console and a motor on a strange upright mount.

They can run in incredibly shallow water, which is so common in those Texas bays. However, if there is any chop or cross wind you are wet, and I mean real swimming wet. Taking a small wave over the bow means anything in the boat will be wet. You either put everything in a sealed container or it gets a salt water bath, and may go over the side.

For some reason the Texas boys love them over any other style of boat. It appeared goofy to me. But Texas is different, or at least Texans are. Go figure.

I really like that boat and would use it in the flats over here! I'd wade from it a little, especially with a PowerPole anchor.
Since it has NO steering wheel, it'd be lots of fun steering it by leaning, like a motorcycle!

I worked the Ft. Myers show a couple of weekends ago. After a few hours of talking myself hoarse, I took a little walk around the show to check out the competition and ran into a guy from TX in another dealers booth that builds those things. They had 2 or 3 of them on display (don't remember the name of them) and they got some quick and questioned looks but, don't think they were going over too well. He, of course, was a total belieiver in those things and explained the virtues of his product but, they look to be so wet and uncomfortable, it's not a boat I would care to own.

Just think when your out on the flats and you hook that keeper Cobia or King, what would you do with him. You couldn't throw him in the bottom of the boat. he would be all around your feet flopping around. wouldn't be a good site.
