Spanish in St Joe yet?

Post by Littoral »

I'd appreciate the word when they show up. When they do it's a slaughter at the sea wall. It looks a lot like opening day on a stocked freshwater trout stream. I love it for teaching (& hooking) kids on fishing.
I'm expecting them in a week or two at the most.

It is cold. That snap dropped it quick. I check the FSU site often.
I've also seen a lot of birds working bait. I believe they're yellow tails. Have you, or anybody, seen what the bait is?

Haven't seen what it is, but have heard of a few pins being caught last weekend

That is good news. I was thinking that I would have to fish with only frozen bait this next trip. If we can get some pins there will be some unlucky grouper on wednesday. If I can't get pins I need to catch at least 2 dozen quirrel fish and some sea bass for bait. Of course the sea bass will be keepers. I should get a few sabiki's too.

:smt013 that figures. I was down last weekend and didn't see any. Caught a few reds and some BIG sheepshead and a few sand trout. Fished all around piney and ended up catching fish in dickerson.

I haven't even seen any bait schools or signs of the toothy critters yet this year...
