Stopped at the BP at 0715 this morning and ran into Fishinfool there. He said he was headed out. We left the ramp at about 0740 and headed straight to K tower on 1 to 2's. The water was fairly clear and 64 degrees. An hour later I had landed 1 short AJ and one keeper AJ at 32". Both were caught on diamond jigs. (If any of you divers are interested, there are 2 new diamond jigs at the bottom of K tower.) The wind started picking up and we had a bunch of acquired numbers to look at, all of which turned out to be worthless. Went back to K tower about noon to try and pick up another AJ, and maybe a grouper. I dropped a frozen LY and immediately hooked up. 30 minutes later I got the 7' to 8' nurse shark to the boat. By this time the wind had kicked up to a steady 15+. We tried to anchor on one more spot on the way in, but it was too rough to get a good anchor drop. Headed in about 1500 with the 1 AJ in the boat. The ride in was like riding in a washing machine. The waves were 2 to 3 and stacked up.
There will be better days. But I did enjoy getting out there.
Next time, try trolling I am envious of ya'll getting out today

Good day out there, TC.
I guessed today would be a good day on the water, which, sound like it was 'til the wind started kicking up. 'Think the fcst was 'smooth' yesterday.
..Some of these metro boys should have to fish in thier 'seas forcast' a few times. Maybe, they pay more attention to it..
