Question

Post by KingEider »

Is anyone kind enough to tell me where the rock garden is out of St. Marks. I used to fish there as a boy with my dad and granddad but, moved to Louisiana until recently and can not remember how to get there. I know no one likes to tell the hot spots but, gas is high and time is short.

Stoney Bayou Entrance - - N 30 04.944 W 84 07.957
Black Rock - - N 30 03.980 W 84 07.100
Grey Mare - - N 30 04.751 W 84 05.375

Draw a triangle using these 3 points and you have the rock garden. But, there are rocks outside this triangle.

My nephew cracked the transom, ruined a 19 footer, in the rock garden. He thought he was out far enough where there's no rocks. He wasn't. Had to junk the boat.
Good fishing there...but o so dangerous.
