The Macks are back

Post by Peligan »

After reading fishing reports I had to go. Launched the boat in front of the beach house at St. Teresa about 8:30 Sat. morning. Me and the wife started trolling about 8:50. The water was dirty. Couldn't see bottom in 4ft. My wife hooked up on the first mackerel after 10 minutes of trolling, A nice 4 pounder. Two minutes later she had another drag runner. She caught fish 2 to my 1 all morning long. I tried casting for a while with no takers but the trolling was great. Headed for the hill about 11:30 with 18 in the cooler. I normally don't keep that many fish but the family and in-laws had placed their orders. Unfortunately my weekends are tied up until May; So I guess the fish wont have the pressure of me fishing. I will post pictures as soon as I know how.[/img]

Pel:

Where did you hit the macks? I was out Saturday(along with a bunch more boats) on Dog Island Reef, the East End of St. George, and other spots and never got a strike trolling, nor did I see anyone else catch a mack.

Tks,

EJ

Good report Peligan. Got into'em pretty good there.
'Might have to give'em a try myself, if the water smooths out in the next few days.
Thanks for spottin'em for us.
