Atticus Where Art Thou?
I've been WMAO for weeks, and got a few more to go. But I did go fishing Saturday, first time since early January, thanks to Atticus and Cynical and buddy Tad; and I squeezed that out only because it was a long-scheduled commitment. I am so thankful I went! I had a much-needed, all-day blast. A great bunch to fish with!
BUT it was Atticus who slayed the day: the guy was SO lucky, uh, I mean "skilled!"
I think Atticus should report! Only he can tell it best, as he DID it. The highly skilled thing, I mean.
Somebody else, after that, can tell of his "hat trick."

I art here

Check out this monster. It was 33 inches long, it
weighed 18lbs and had a 22-inch girth.
I was actually jigging with light tackle (there in my
left hand) in about 90 feet of water.
This bottom-dweller swam half way up and hammered the
jig... fight lasted a while on that little rod. I thought it was
an AJ in that it kept taking little bits of drag.
The fish had some unlucky angler's leader sticking out
of its huge mouth. Someone had hooked him and broken
off and probably never realized what a monster he had
on the line.
Tad filleted this thing and one fillet was the size of
a chicken.
Earlier we had seen an ocean sunfish out there. We were fishing
with Chuck Simpson on the Contender. Had a blast. I got a lot
of grouper vacumed-up and frozen for the boys. We will have to
get together for a little party and grouper eating fest soon here.
If anyone else has any pics of the fishin trip. Post here please.
