Try getting up close to dog Island on the bay side. A single hook or a sabiki tiped with squid should do the trick. Good luck! 8)

I built a pinfish trap from instructions received on this net.... Looks good but I have never used it.

Any idea how long it takes to catch enough pinfish in a trap to go out? Not sure if it is an hour or a day.... Most likely I should just try to hook-um at least I would be sure to catch something :smt004

Take a chum block and chum over the shallow grass. Should be less than 5-10 minutes to get them around the boat. Then do what SF suggests. Pinfish traps work best if they are left alone for several hours.
