CATCHIN TROUT AROUND THE ROCK GARDEN

THE TWO OLD MEN OF THE SEA LAUNCHED THE BOAT AT THE LIGHTHOUSE 7-30 A.M . 4-21-05. WE FISHED OUT THE TO BAR IN FRONT OF THE LIGHTHOUSE AND NO STRIKES. WE DECIDED TO GO EAST TO THE ROCK GARDEN. AS SOON AS WE SHUT DOWN THE KICKER WE STARTED CATCHIN TROUT. WE CAUGHT OUR LIMIT WITH A TOTAL CATCH OF 78 TROUT. THE SURFACE WAS SMOOTHE UP TO ABOUT NOON THEN THE WIND PICKED UP OUT OF THE S.W. WE LEFT AT 2 P.M. CAUGHT THE TROUT ON CANDY CORN UNDER CORK, CANDYCORN JUST DRAGGIN IT THROUGH THE GRASS, CHARTRUSE COCOHOE SHAD TAIL, TOP DOG, BOMBER SILVER SIDE FLOATER, WHITE PINK TAIL GRUB DRAGGIN THROUGH THE GRASS AND SEVERAL OTHER LURES, TRYIN TO CATCH SOME BIGGER TROUT. THE KEEPERS WE CAUGHT WERE ALL BETWEEN 15 1/2- 17". LOST 5-6 PLUGS TO SPANISH, ALSO CAUGHT 2 HARDHEAD CATS. BEAUTIFUL DAY ON THE WATER WITH MY BEST FRIEND.

YEA, S..G. YOU WOOULD HAVE HAD A BALL, THE WEATHER WAS PERFECT AND THE FISH WERE VERY COOPERATIVE EVEN IF MOST WERE 1/2" SHORT, NOT TOO HOT, NOT TOO COOL, JUST RIGHT. WE HAD FUN.
