ickyfeenee today 5/3/05

Post by yukondon »

Hit the landing this morning at 7:00 am to find there was very little water, low tide combined with the Northerly wind made it kinda low,I decided to hang around and wait for water, lauched about 8:30 and slowly made my way out to the favorite spot, started fishing about 9;30 or so,yeah it was a slow ride,my spot is only 4 miles from the dock, anyhoo first cast rewarded me with a 14 incher, only trout that wasnt a keeper today.the next dozen casts produced a 22.5 a 19.99 :-D 19.5 and two 18 inchers, that was the fastest I ever limited out .Just for fun I drifted back over the spot and I caught 4-5 more in the 16-17 in range. With the wind holling and the waves rolling in the 1-2 ft sizes I decided to head back to the hill, got a little wet on the ride back but was headed back to Albany by 11:00 am, lots of fun and it seems like the big gurls were feeding today.Bait for today was CT with New Penny and Electric Chicken SWA`s.Got to Meet Capt. Tom from Monticello today, hope yall did well, nice meeting you.Water was tea stained and about 62* fish caught in 4 ft of water 2 miles straight out past the stat marker.

Nicely done... both with the navigation in skinny conditions and producing the fish as well! When ever you exercise good common sense at the Econfina and that is complimented with successful fishing...it don't get much better  :D

You can. Just do what I did. Quit your job and become obnoxious. Your wife will pay for your fishing to get rid of you for a day.

I'm not completely clear as to whether or not TC's got his personal order of things right...but he's probably close :-D

So SR,
You're saying it's become so obnoxious you get fired from your job, your wife gets ticked and kicks you out of the house, you know have plenty of time for fishing...but where's the money come from?? I'm tellin' ya. I need some instructions. :-D
