For starters I'll share - I told my boys (ages: 8 this month, 6 and 3) that we could name our boat and have the name painted on the boat. They are thrilled and have come up with some that could appear on Cosby's old show "Kids Say the Darndest Things"
Way cool re Sundance....Jerry's Bait Shop website has rough charts with the common names we all use for various areas within Apalachee Bay....be careful going too far east of the lighthouse because you will find what is affectionately called the "rock garden." Once you get a feel for where it is, you can ease in and out without sacrificing your lower unit...until then....go slow at about a line between the cabbage palm point and the 1st stake (guys is that about right or have just been lucky?). Wal-Mart sells the Florida Sportsman chart of Apalachee Bay and I just bought a Lowrance I-Finder GO2 which has 64 mb of mapping built in which shows all the channel markers in St. Marks, the Pinhook, Gray Mare rock and other navigation aids (no depths though...not chart quality but it only cost $94.00 with shipping from TigerGPS)...the Sundance will get you anywhere you need to go in Apalachee. Most of the folks that write in on this site use the Lighthouse or Fort ramps....never feel shy about striking up a conversation and just asking where they are biting.......we will tell you within a few hundred yards or so.... Will look for the new Sundance out there........
