Took a couple workmates to the favorite spot today,we ended up the day with 15 keeper trout,2 14in flounders a blue and 1 rock bass, fished 5 ft of water, temp was 76* favorite style was a Electric chicken under a CT,very warm and a little choppy but not too bad at all.Largest fish was 24 smallest was 18.5 Only downside to the day was the one that got away I was trolling a rather large dead pinfish behind the boat when the largest trout Ive ever seen gave me one hellova fight, got her to the side of the boat after about a 10 minute fight but the net was too small to land her, fish had to of been 30+ inches long after trying a couple times to land her with the net she rolled and threw the hook.I was sick. That was one for the trophy room. Maybe next time. [/b]
Hit-n-Miss
We also used Candycorn and New penny, thats about the only three I throw. The leaders were about 24 inches long.Electric chickens were getting more strikes by far, some floating grass and the green looked more natural in it to me.
You did a lot better on trout than we did. We got 2 big ones, only one short. Also got a flounder, blue, and all the sharks we wanted to catch. Kept 2 sharks. I got a 22'' cobia, took picture and released him. It sounds like you had their number for sure!
