THAT SUPJECT LINE IS A LITTLE DECEAVING. WE CAUGHT 67 TROUT ALRIGHT, BUT ONLY 3 BIG ENOGH TO BRING HOME. THE LARGEST TROUT WE CAUGHT WAS 15 1/2" . THE WATER WAS COVERED WITH NEWLY CUT GRASS, I GUESS THE NETTERS CAME THROUGH THIS AREA LAST NIGHT. MOST OF THE FISH WERE CAUGHT ON SWA CANDY-CORN, NIGHT GLO DOA, THE SWA CHICKEN, PINK TAIL GRUB. I LOVE TO CATCH THESE FISH BUT IT IS A SHAME MOST OF THEM WILL NOT SURVIVE. MOST OF THE FISH WE CAUGHT WOULD BE ABLE TO GET THROUGH A 3" MESH NET, THE LARGER ONE, YOU KNOW WHERE THEY WENT. I WISH WE COULD GET A LAW PASSED TO MAKE TROUT A NON SALE FISH LIKE THE REDS, THEN AND ONLY THEN ARE WE GONNA CATCH ANY TROUT OF ANY SIZE. IN THIS OUTLAW AREA OF THE PANHANDLE. WAS VERY ROUGH, WIND OUT OF THE EAST 15-20 ALL DAY, HAD SWELLS 1-2', REALLY WORE THE TWO MEN OF THE SEA OUT.
WE HEADED IN AT 12:30 SINCE WE WERE NOT CATCHIN ANY TROUT LARGE ENOUGH TO TAKE HOME.
PA & CARL
I caught a bunch of shorts last weekend. They swallowed that doa. Wonder if you could use a circle hook and release them in better shape. Started using pinfish to keep the shorts off and caught some nice ones from 20" to 24" and no shorts.
and catchin 67 Trout of any size is a fun day to me
