Got to the lighthouse about 930 to fish the rising tide.
Told my wife with the higher water temps we would be hooking into
some catfish today, First cast with a top-water and sure enough a sail-top crash it, interesting that was the last one we saw.
Caught lots of shorts and a couple keepers. Decided to head east
and get Macks in a little deeper water, trolled got one, stopped and
put out some chum, The sharks were on us, caught 4 black tip
and missed a big bull, just sliced through our 50lb mono.
Started drifting again for trout, caught more shorts.
Very nice day on the water, before the crowds started.
My wife was great company. Tried to call up some forum members
on my new radio, no takers.

Wondered how the crowd would be for the holiday week-end. Good report. It's been the year of the shorts. :)
