Put in at the LH at 7:00. Very suprised to see sunshine and flat calm seas. Remained nice weather all day. Fished the East River entrance for longer than we should have. The water wasn't really moving in there at all and shortly after we got there the bite slowed considerably. Ended up headed over to Patty's Island and fishing in several places between there and the LH. Fishing picked up considerably around 1:30. Pretty good variety of fish, several firsts for both of us.

Lots of short trout - several keepers, all released. One over 20"
4 Catfish
1 Flounder
1 Ladyfish

Hooked onto something huge early in the East River. Don't know what it was - all I could see was it's mouth come up out of the water to throw the hook. It looked like it's mouth was the size of a gallon paint bucket. It hit twice and then disappeared. All fish caught on a CT w/ multiple colors.
