I have been researching batteries again....Still like the weight concept of the Odyssey batteries....Anyway....I read the Capt. Blair Wiggins used them....So, for grins and giggles I emailed addicitivefishing.com to see what would happen, figured a secretary would answer back....Well, Capt Wiggins answered my email....Thought it was cool anyway....

The model I use is the PC1200. I must say they are great batteries and I would recommend them to anyone who uses a trolling motor. They are light and compact.
I used them for two days out in Louisiana in the weeds and didn’t charge them. They only lost power at the end of day two.
I run the rt-80 24v.

Didn't you say you were buying a new boat? And aren't you building a boat? I think Tin Can would be nice enough to buy you more than just three.
I can't believe the Mogan Man sent you a reply, thats too cool. He's always saying how he doesn't get to fish as much as he used to. Gotta run the business I guess. But he said let him know hoy you like them, guess that means you gotta get one now.
I work for a cellular company and we use Hawker batteries in the cell sites for back up. I believe they manufacture the Odyssey line. They seem to hold up well considering when the power goes out, they get drained to nothing and bounce back time after time. A 24 volt string will see somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 amp discharge. It's only been a few years since using them, but after the hurricanes last year the batteries had quite a workout. No failures from cycling them.
