St. Marks River Report- 07/16/2005

Saturday seemed like it would be a good day to take a break from the house issues and escape to St. Marks for a boat ride. Me, Travis and Kipper (the family dog) piled in the truck and headed for the river. Once we got into St. Marks and rolled past the power plant, I felt the trailer pulling to the left and discovered I had a flat on the trailer.

I called Boat US for some roadside assistance. Little did I know this was going to turn into a three hour ordeal. I ended up walking down to Shields and purchasing a spare tire from Brett Shields. Even though it was a little pricey, I was thankful they had one in stock at the ship store. I am still kicking myself for not buying the identical tire at Walmart. Boat US said they were sending someone down to me from “Bethelâ€

A 55 gal. drum, full of oil, floating just below the surface sounds like it could do just a we bit of damage. That would definately suck if someone were to hit that!
