Since you asked I'll tell you.
Got to the ramp at 6:30am. First boat there. Ran down river and stopped at the bar at the mouth. No luck, not a bite. Looked at the nasty clouds from Alligator Point to the Lighthouse and listened to the thunder rumble. Looked at the nasty clouds around Keaton and listened to the thunder rumble. Headed east about a mile to some offshore bars. Caught a short trout and a 19". Released them both. Looked at the nasty clouds getting closer. Put on rain gear fished til the rain started then went back to the ramp to sit it out. Watched the rain fall all around the shelter at the park, looked at nasty clouds listened to the thunder rumble for 2 hours. Went back out in a drizzling rain. By then the tide had crested so went out deeper. Found the racks in their new locations fished around them. Nothing. Went outside the old rack locations and fished. Nothing. Went back in close to some favorite bars. Nothing. Went back to the original location from the morning and got another short trout a rockbass and a toadfish. All released.
Went back to the ramp loaded out and went home after doing a fishing survey with a guy from FWC.(I'll tell ya'll about that later.)
The water was black as coffee everywhere and 87 degrees.

Be careful of those survey's , thats what always gets us into trouble, if you say too few, there's a panic , close off fishing, to many, ( like the grouper) we're catching to many, close off fishing. I've heard from the FRA people , they would like everyone to just say sorry and don't do any more surveys.
