Has anyone tried or owned a Quantum spinning reel, I saw one this past weekend and it really looked good.

That's all I use for inshore spinners now. Their PTi freshwater spinners work fine in salt as well as the Cabo and Boca. The freshwater models are lighter though. They make the Catalyst in an inshore model also now. I have four Kinetics and haven't had a problem with any of them. The oldest is over three years old and still works like new. A freshwater rinse after each trip and a good cleaning once a year are all I do.

I have Quantum Energy that has been used mainly in fresh but in salt the last year or so. I've had it for probably 10 years
