Wasn't funny at the time.....

Post by PinFishKing »

While grouper fishing a couple of weeks ago out of Econfina, we caught a 3 1/2 shark (not sure what kind, but it had plenty of teeth). I was being extra careful not to hurt it while we removed the hook. He was not real happy with being held out of the water by his tail. He started thrashing back and forth pretty hard. I decided to hold him till he tired down. Turns out, I got tired first so I rested his weight on the rail of the boat. About the time I stopped paying attention, he spun around and got a mouth full of shorts and fruit of the looms from right beside my crotch area.:o I'm glad he missed the "package". I almost found out how John Wayne Bobbitt felt. :smt010

Whew.... that sounds too close to even be funny now :o Glad the experience was with out injury! I've seen sharks turn all the way around and grab their tail....if they can do that they certainly could grab a wrist!
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

Arrest the shark and promptly charge him with a misdaweiner!!! :smt011 :-D ...couldn't resist!

Gotta keep an eye on them all the time.....sharks are almost as quick and nimble as a rattle snake!

They are surprisingly nimble. Just like a dog that can lick his own butt.I knew a girl once who could do that. Guess I'll save that story for another post.
