Time for a weekly "how about this boat" question. What's your opinion on a 2000 Angler 180F (center console) with a Yamaha 115 (2 stroke)? This is assuming the boat passes the ride/inspection/price test, of course.
I've read a lot on Anglers, mostly secondhand on other forums. There's a lot of bad stuff about their bigger boats. But I'm interested more in first- or secondhand experience in the waters we all fish in.
While you're at it, tell me whether you'd go for a 2-stroke or hold out for a 4.
I like the 2's fine but I'm wondering about resale value and whether 2-strokes will be around in a few years.

Don't have any first hand knowledge of the Angler boat but I am a big fan of 2 strokes. They are not going anywhere, in fact with the new technologies in motors like the E-Tec's I believe we will be seeing more of them come back into the market. Though I am timid of the new technologies because they have not been proven yet. Just need to see what people are saying after a few hundred hours on them.

I have read few bad reports about Anglers on FS Forum too....
But if you could look deep inside the bowels of most production boats you probably wouldn't like what you find.....
Take it out, kick the tires, check it over, look for any blemishes, patches or cracks.....
Keep those thoughts and opinions coming. I'm thinking it won't hurt to take a good, hard look.
