Miccosuke - hazards and the like
Never been on Lake Miccosuke, are there stumps/logs etc. or anything
to be aware of besides the vegetation and swimming with the gators..?
Thanks.

Miccosuke hazards
Not as fast as I used to be, guess that could be hazardous as well, thanks.
Gil, rocket knows all about Micc. He'll give you some pointers.
It's been a long time since I was there sitting for ducks so it's probly changed some.
Wev, after the last tourney I can't find any music playin that don't talk about heartbreaks, comin up short end of the stick, and bad, bad, JTBrown - the meanest tourney director in the whole dang town..

What TC said. Be careful to keep your motor clear in those boat runs, they can get pretty narrow. I have done good in the runs on bass pulling a buzz bait down them, and that can be fun
.
Don't know what you're fishing for, but mornings, evenings, and overcast days can be killer for the bream back in the gator holes.
If you hit a duck blind out there make sure it's not mine. Seriously, you should not hit one since they are grnerally off the paths, and in plain sight.
You also don't need to worry about stupms, I've never encountered one there. Just heavy vegetation.
Good luck.

You guys are always great with the info, yeah that's what I am counting
on, at least being as good once as I was before, If the oppurtunity arises.
Just going after the panfish, thanks!

Re: Miccosuke
I don't think the bait shop is open at Reeves Landing any more. However, Reeves is a much better landing than U.S.90. It's a large paved public ramp with lots of parking. Much more secure than 90. Also much closer to fishable water. Go to the caution light in down town Miccosukee. Turn east, and follow the paved road.Gilligan wrote:is there a bait shop somewhat close by ?
What was I supposed to do today?
