ST. marks 8/20 report

Post by rx fisher »

Left Lighthouse at low-tide 9:30am to fish the rising tide, Went west.
HOT but much more productive than I expected. Started catching fish
right off, LOTS of sharks, larger ones are fun. It was hard to keep a pinfish on the hook. Brought two 4-5 foot shovel-nosed sharks to the boat, quite a pull on trout tackle. Also hooked up with a spinner shark
that's a blast, like catching tarpon lots of sky action. My partner Bryan a young guy from work doesn't get out much, glad to put him on to the 3 biggest fish he had ever caught, The large sharks and a very nice 22' trout.
We fished in 5-8 feet, water temp almost 90. CT with Electric Chicken jigs and pinfish under CT. Saw about 8 macks sky 6 feet in the air but
never caught one, might have been the cut offs. Great day on the water
Brought back 4 keepers.

The trout was bigger, Bryan just makes it look small.
