Took my sweetie to eh lighthouse and put the boat in the lighthouse pool at 6:00pm. Headed out to the bird rack and turned west and ran 1/2 mile and anchored down in 5.5'. Didn't notice the water temperature. We ate a subway sandwich and some pork rinds with Pepsi. (Yummie) Made a few casts with a DOA and a splitshot. Gor a few vicious strikes. ALmost lost another rod and reel. Wife caught 1 pinfish and 1 lizzard fish. saw one Puffer follow a doa to the boat. Watched the sunset together :smt007
At dark we headed back in. Found out the stern light was dead....

Home at 10pm.

It was the first time the boatr has seene the water since July 16. It was great to be out there. Wife said it was better than any anaversary vacation we had ever had....

It really brought things back into perspective for me. We had a great time, and I'll remember it for a long time. It felt great just to be back out there again.
