Tore the reds up in the back of the bay. but when I ran out of shrimp didn't catch another fish. BUMMER. to shallow to run a boat, my canoe hit in a few places. all in all 7 reds from 14-30 " . 30"er was a monster., but didnt get to weigh it. not bad for 3 hrs. Tight lines and blue skies> Capt. K

Thanks great to be aboard. Anyone else catch much fish near alligator point bay? also any tips on how to keep catching fishn after the bait's gone? anyone tried the new gulp shrimp
Blue/Silver bottom Top Dog seems ta work for most of em "except when the grass is thick" Then I switch to a Glow White/Red tail Rip Tide shrimp

I think if you asked birddog, he would suggest a gold spoon. I haven't tried the Gulp baits; but, I was watchin' Florida Fishing Report the other day and Capt Rick said that there had been some complaining on the professional redfish tours about the Gulp products. Seems folks were just throwing them out and letting them sit and were catching fish.
Spoon, smoon aint nothin like a strike on a top water and what fun is there in just throwing something out there and waiting for a bite anyhow

Gotta work at the point tomorrow, and one house has a dock that the builder keeps telling me of the redfish all around this dock on Alligator Bay.
Along wid da tools tomoorrow there will be a spincast with a topwater plug loaded, ya know those 15 min "rest" breaks!
