Dog Island Reds

Post by summersdaze »

Left the dock around 2:30 today and headed east towards Lanark. Fished the inside of Lanark reef first. Caught a few small trout and saw tons of mullet. Water is looking much better these days which make it nice for sight fishing. We left Lanark and set our sights for Dog Island. We fished several spots before finally running into some reds. Didn't catch many but all were legal size. Dad was able to sight cast to one and ended up landing a fat 26 inch red. All in all it was a good day. Good news is we saw no sighns of red tide.
