Late start due to the extremely low tide. In at the LH at 10:30. Fished the East flats on the rise. Caught plenty of medium trout with a few keepers fishing closer to shore than I saw most folks. Really HOT though - it was calm with NO WIND, pretty much all day. Tried along the shore for some reds but got nothin so I moved back out to chase trout.
Ended up with several shorts and several keepers, a shark and a catfish (caught on the same pinfish

) Mostly on topwater, but a couple on CT. That Floating MirroLure with propellers is great fun if the wind and chop stay down.
I saw my first potential signs of red tide down there though. A good number of dead fish floating around the end of the St. Marks bar, out in the channel. I would guess that they came in with the +4 tide we had this afternoon.
Got checked by the FWC at the ramp. Showed him that I didn't even bring a cooler along, but he still wanted to see the lifejackets and whistles. No problems though
