Drug around the house too long this morning. Didn't get the boat in the water until 0730. Headed east from the lighthouse. Went to a creek mouth I've been successful at lately. Caught 6 reds from 15" to 24" in the first half hour. Then the bite went away. There were tons of mullet in there this morning. More than I've ever seen in this creek. Moved further east, but it was too late. The tide fell out rather fast this morning. Not enough water to float the boat in most places. So, I headed south in search of a trout. Caught about 25, with 4 keepers in the mix. Back on the trailer by 1:30. Home in time to watch a race.

The trout were caught on a Saltwater Assasain eel, weightless, and fished slow. All of the reds came on topwater.

Like BD said, "if it has a spot, a downward mouth it counts as a red" ...as I released an 8 incher!

Maybe a spoon would have brought out the horses :-D
