Went fishing...about all I can say :-? Ended up with one nice keeper trout that went about 23 inches. Not much luck other than that. Ladyfish tearin' it up everywhere. Porpoises I think were following me everywhere I stopped. Ah well, really nice out there today.

I did and there was...a bunch of very large...very hungry porpoises who proceeded to put on a show. The tide in there was kickin'. I'm sure there were some fishies hiding somewhere with all that water moving.

Sounds like you weren't too far from me. I stole Wevans spot for the day. Just for the record there are no fish at Bottom Road or anywhere near it. Got to the ramp a bit early this morning and had to wait for some light before heading out. First fish was a 15" red with a bunch of spots. Second fish was a just legal red. Let him go to swim with the fishies at least one more day. Hooked into one more that pulled pretty good, but lost him about half way to the yak with a roll on the surface. That was it on the reds so I started drifting for trout. Ended up in a school of glass minnows and anchored up for awhile. Hooked into a nice trout that probably would have gone 23-24". Got wrapped up in my anchr line and was gone in a split second. Ths one was definitely my fault. Had been letting out rode to drift back and fish new water and had way too much anchor line out. I also tried to horse him to the yak too quick. Should have let him play out then brought him along side. Caught several other trout in the 16-18 range, but decided to let them go. Last cast before heading in I hooked and landed a 21" trout. Decided to throw him in my fish bag and have a fish dinner a couple nights this week. Overall I had a pretty good day. In at 6:45, out at 12:30. The wind was playing games today. It started out with a light breeze then quickly turned into a stiff headwind. It settled down again around peak tide flow and the picked back up again soon after. Finally around slack tide it died down to nearly nothing and stayed that way till I left. Lures; all the reds came on one, all the trout came on two others.

In the Bottoms area on Sunday I caught a 22" spanish mack which I gave to someone back at Spring Creek, three ladyfish one of which splattered me with blood, a couple of trout and a few pinfish. There were some porpoises around. Said hi to Wevans.

Over in Oyster Bay where the sun was high and the tide low, caught a big cat who broke off at the side of the boat and left with my cajun thunder and jig! Last saw the red bobber heading west.

Was it 7? I got there a little after 6:30 and was just waiting for some light to head out. It doesn't take an hour to get there from Tallahassee, I know that now. With the cloud cover there was very little light till about 7:15 or so. I thought it might be you, cause I know your normally early to fish, but it was dark and I couldn't see the Sopchoppy Redneck on the side. Couldn't tell if it was you or not in the dark either. How'd you end up doing?
