Castnetting 10/21

Post by Charles »

Knocked off work at 4:30. Got the castnet and bucket out of the back of the car and walked down the one lane, sand road, past the tree the mockingbird sings in all day, to the mouth of the canal. The water was too high and murky for me to see any mullet, so I just started making blind throws. Caught 7 and one 19" sheepie in an hour. All these mullet had either no roe or white roe that was quite a bit more developed than the ones I caught last Monday.
