St Marks 11/15

Post by Reel Slow »

Got out before the cold snap with a few buddies today. In shorts on Nov 15 - go figure.

Nice rise and a south wind really pushed the water in. Had one red blow up on Top on the flats and a few shorts. But, we were waiting for water to go in. Caught 4 reds on the rise and lost 3 really nice reds. The fall was better catching 10 or so. Ended up with 18 reds and a lot of fun! Saw 2 nice gators, one 9 and one 10'

Almost all were caught on spoons, a few on topwater. They were everywhere we looked for them.

Wonder if I can put my shorts away now :-D

RS,
We got several good trout with the reds, everything was about 100 yds. from the grass and took live shrimp, pins. The wind made it hard to stay on a drift. Dad got a big sheephead on shrimp.
